Revalve Standard Equipment

Fork and Shock Absorber tuning….

Standard suspension componentry often contains elaborate valve systems that can be tuned to maximise performance and meet rider demands.

These valve assemblies generally consist of a valve body and Shimstack. The Shimstack is in essence a circular leaf spring that utilises round, spring steels shims.

Oil is forced through the valve body bending the shims away from the valve body to allow flow. As the shims are flexed they in turn apply a spring force to the oil and damping is created.

By adjusting the quantity, thickness or diameter of these shim‘s, the oil flow or “damping” can be adjusted for all manner of requirements.
We have been testing with riders and tuning bikes for over 30 years. Our experience ensures a quality outcome.
